How to Play Roulette

With roulette game tables come hours of playing enjoyment. Roulette is an old casino favorite, but there's no reason you can't enjoy this classic in your home game room. Here's a brief overview of the game of roulette just in case you need to brush up on the facts:

Roulette Game Tables
Up to eight players can gather around roulette game tables to play against the house. The dealer spins the roulette wheel and handles the wagers and payouts. The wheel has 37 slots, representing 36 numbers and one zero. American roulette game tables are a little different: American roulette wheels have two zeros and therefore 38 slots.

How to Win at Roulette Game Tables
Each player standing around the roulette game table places a bets. Each player uses different colored chips so their bets are easy to track. When the roulette ball falls into one of the slots, this is the end of that game. If your bet wins, you exchange your colored chips for cash chips or actual cash if playing with money. A player wins when he or she has bet on or around the winning number: the number of the slot that holds the ball when it comes to rest.

Placing Bets at the Roulette Game Table
To play roulette, you place your bet or bets on numbers (any number, including zero). These numbers are present on roulette game tables so players can stack their bets on the numbers they choose. When all players at the roulette game table have had a chance to place their bets, the dealer starts the spin and launches the ball.

Just a few moments before the ball is about to drop over the slots, the dealer announces that there will be 'no more bets' placed at the roulette game table. From that moment, no one is allowed to place or change their bets on the roulette game table until the ball drops into a slot.

Winning, Losing, and Starting the Next Game
After the dealer places the dolly on the winning number on the roulette game table and clears all the losing bets, players can start placing new bets on the roulette game tables while the dealer pays the winners. The winners are those bets that are on or around the number that comes up, called "inside bets". Players can also win on "outside bets", which are bets on red, black, odd, or even numbers. Other outside bets include bets on columns, dozens, and high, or low numbers.

Home Roulette Game Tables
At home you can play with chips or actual money, it's up to you. But one thing is for sure. Unless you have access to roulette game tables, you won't be able to fully appreciate the game of roulette. Home roulette game tables let you enjoy many fun filled evenings with friends and family in the comfortable and familiar environment of your own game room. Have fun, and good luck!
