How to Play Craps
The shooter handles the dice with one hand, and handles them only when throwing. Both dice must hit a wall on the opposite end of the craps game table for the throw to count. In the event that one or both dice are thrown off the table, they must be inspected (usually by the stickman, an employee of the casino, or, in the case of your home, someone that has agreed to act in that role) before putting them back into play.
Winning and Losing Bets
Pass bets win when the come out roll is 7 or 11. Pass Bets lose when the come out roll is 2, 3, or 12. Don't Pass Bets lose when the come out roll is 7 or 11. Don't Pass Bets win when the come out roll is 2 or 3. Don't Pass Bets tie when the come out roll is 12. All other bets are place on or against the shooter or after the initial come out roll. A wide variety of bets can be made and accepted by the players around the craps game table, which is what makes craps so exciting.
Taking Turns
Professional craps game tables can accommodate up to about twenty players, each of whom gets a turn "shooting" the dice. Those who don't want to shoot the dice can bet on or against the shooter.
Dice
In most cases, the dice are replaced with new ones after about eight hours of use, and casinos have implemented rules in the way a player handles them. So if you want to get serious about craps, you will want to purchase several sets of dice to go with your new craps game table.
Now that you know the basics, you can let the good times roll with your very own craps game.
